About Heropreneurs

Each year thousands of men and women leave the Armed Forces to begin their new life as civilians. Of these, 10,000 will have served in recent operations. Over the next 18 months to two years this figure will increase substantially following the Strategic Defence and Security Review (SDSR).

Unlike previous years, men and women leaving the armed forces today will be joining nearly 2.5 million other unemployed people in the search for a civilian job. Most of this number are highly qualified and skilled but for many the transition from life in the military to life as a civilian will be difficult as it has been for some of those who have already left.

Instead of seeing this as a problem, we look at it as a challenge and want to look objectively at what the business community can do to help create more business owners. It’s not only entrepreneurs who can do this because owning a business is open to a wide range of different people. It is time to consider whether this approach is for you. If it is, and you fit within our criteria, we can help you achieve your goals.
