Entrepreneur Country is pleased to announce the first three keynote speakers who will be gracing the Royal Institution of Great Britain in London on the 21st February 2012.

In 2011, Entrepreneur Country welcomed over 800 entrepreneurs, investors and industry leaders to our two Forums. With keynote speeches from Theo Paphitis, Lloyd Dorfman, Lara Morgan, Sara Murray, Tim Levene, Martyn Dawes, Will King, Austin Healey and James Caan; each Forum is designed to help attendees galvanise their business prospects. 96% of all attendees surveyed stated that they would recommend these events to a colleague.

The 2012 Forum is shaping up too to be another excellent collection of entrepreneurial talent. Confirmed speakers at this year's Forum are Co-Founder of Lastminute.com, Serial Entrepreneur and the UK's Digital Champion Martha Lane Fox, Ariadne Capital & FirstTuesday Founder Julie Meyer and Serial Award Winner and Founder of the Hyper-Growth story of 2011 "Ella's Kitchen" Paul Lindley.

About our speakers -
Martha Lane Fox
Martha Lane Fox co-founded Lastminute.com, where she and her business partner, Brent Hoberman, came to epitomise the new breed of internet entrepreneurs in London. In November 2003 Martha stood down as Managing Director of Lastminute.com to explore other opportunities. She remains a non-executive director of the company.

She is now a non-executive director at Marks & Spencer and Channel 4, and runs Lucky Voice, a private karaoke bar group. Lucky Voice is expanding from its current four locations to open in Brighton, with further expansion planned with partner Tiger Tiger. She is confident Lucky Voice can ‘clean up and dominate’ the ‘higgledy-piggledy space’ that currently characterises the karaoke market.

Many of the lessons learned whilst building Lastminute have been applied to her latest venture, in particular the blending of online and offline to create a business of substance. Lastminute, where she remains a non-executive director, has just opened a standalone store in Manchester with other openings planned. She points out the company employed a similar strategy several years ago, and says: “no one can afford to ignore online and see how it is translated off line.”

Martha remains a role model for entrepreneurs – not just in business, but also in her dealings in wider society. She is a trustee for Reprieve, a prison reform charity, patron of education pressure group CAMFED, and has set up her own charity, Antigone, a grant-making trust.

Paul Lindley

Paul Lindley loves to explore, dream and discover.  He was born in Sheffield and grew up in Zambia where his explorations, dreams and discoveries truly began.  Graduating from the University of Bristol, he trained and qualified as a Chartered Accountant at KPMG in London and Los Angeles.  He then spent 9 years at Nickelodeon – the premier kids’ television brand - where he rose from Financial Controller to Deputy Managing Director via the roles of Finance Director, Commercial Director, Communications Director and General Manager.  These career and character forming years gave him a passion for children’s issues, a deep understanding of how children think and a desire to work with them throughout his career.

He thought he had the coolest job in the world until he thought of the idea for Ella’s Kitchen, and realised that that seed of an idea had to grow. In 2004 he gave up his job to follow his dream and almost 2 years to the day after leaving Nickelodeon, he - together with his daughter Ella – proudly saw their Ella’s Kitchen products on supermarket shelves for the first time.  In the subsequent 5 years the company has grown extremely quickly, catching the zeitgeist of our times and really connecting with parents and most importantly kids. In 2011 families will spend over £50M on Ella’s Kitchen foods.

In both 2009 and 2010 Ella’s Kitchen was ranked in the top 15 fastest growing private companies in the Sunday Times Fast Track 100, and in June 2010 was voted the Best Food and Drink Brand in the 2010 Grocer Gold Awards, beating Hovis, Walkers, Doritos and Cadburys. Having won numerous awards for its customer focus Ella’s Kitchen has co-founded The Consumer Forum, to promote customer excellence in business.  The brand launched in Scandinavia and the US in 2009 and in 2011 every second of every day someone around the world is eating an Ella’s product.
