The penultimate episode of 'Britain's Next Big Thing' aired last night. The show focussed on taking all the products to the next level - rather than just impressing the buyers, actually making the items something that Boots can put on their shelves, that will appeal to consumers. For me, this meant it was time to discuss Wingman's brand identity - making it something for men of all ages across the UK.

I returned to Boots HQ to discuss with the buyers how I should go about re-branding the product, to appeal to a mass audience.  After these discussions, I acted quickly and setup a meeting with a graphic design company in Swindon to get their ideas on the product.

They came back to me with some fantastic ideas and I was really excited to see what they had come up with. Theo warned me that it was imperative I got it right from the start, as customers take only a matter of seconds to decide if they like what they see on the shelves.

The new packaging is a steel colour, combined with a unique silver logo with a flash of pink – it’s manly but not too macho.  I’m really pleased with it and think it looks exciting and cool – hopefully just what everyone is after.

At this stage, I’m feeling more determined than ever, although I’m starting to feel the pressure and fear of failure!  I’m working day and night to make the brand a success – fingers crossed it all pays off.

Please tune in next week for the final episode of the series.
