Rhythm NewMedia, the largest mobile video ad network has announced a $10m Series C round of funding led by QuestMark Partners including participation from existing investors Lightspeed Venture Partners, Morgenthaler Ventures and Rembrandt Venture Partners. The company also released data indicating its interactive video ads now average over 425 million monthly impressions.

Rhythm NewMedia distributes video ads for them for Apple and Android mobile devices and currently works with well-known brands and publishers including 100 of the Fortune 500 companies as clients including publishers CBS and Fox and advertisers include Best Buy and FedEx, to name a few.

Rhythm have said they will use the funds to further fuel the rapid expansion of its mobile video ad network as demand for mobile video is growing sharply. The company focuses on pre-roll interactive mobile video ads, and is responsible for many of the ads you already see on iOS and Android applications. The ads served by Rhythm are interactive in the sense that users can tap on something during the pre-roll ad to visit another website, or view a longer video clip like a movie trailer for instance.
