Seattle-based Dashwire has raised another $1M from Best Buy Capital, Trilogy Partnership and other investors. Founded in 2006, Dashwire has raised a total of $2.86M to date. The company is led by Ford Davidison who was a Product Manager in the Mobile Devices group at Microsoft.

Dashwire's app allows mobile phone users to synch their content between phones and other mobile devices, and to backup that content. Dashwire's first major licensee, Best Buy, delivers Dashwire's services via its mIQ software, which is freely available on Best Buy's Web site. Dashwire competes with Microsoft's My Phone Service but generally gets better reviews than its Seattle neighbor's product.
