Budget Hopes for SME's

My hopes for the budget at that any proposals to support business growth should be simplified. As a franchise, my company 'Baby Sensory' has supported nearly 100 people into their own business during 2011, and I hope that any guidance for people starting a business will be available to them without the need for copious paperwork. There also should not be a need for them to take advice from “business advisors” who do not understand the Baby Sensory model and who in some instances provide advice which directly conflicts with our own.

Ian Sharland is the Director of Baby Sensory, a company specialising in sensory equipment and developemtn activities for parents and babies to share in the vital first year.

We would like government to keep a tight grip on expenditure, particularly to avoid developing or supporting the development of services that are in competition with small businesses. We would like to the chancellor to avoid changes that create or indeed tinker with the bureaucracy that business is subjected to. We would like to avoid any changes that could result in increased interest rates which would have a significant impact on the young families who attend our programmes. The continued spending of families on UK based services is vital for the continued growth of emerging companies such as Baby Sensory. I know this is not my thoughts on what will be said but it should be a good barometer for my comments on measures that are taken.  I will be looking for simplification and de-regulation rather than government administered support packages.
