As it happens, the audience may have been the most diverse mix I’ve ever played in front of – ranging in age from eight months to eighty years, but the proverbial good time was had by all. Could also be the only time my rider will consist of a cup of tea and a slice of fruit cake. Other interesting happenings were local artistic residents opening up their houses to the public as gallery spaces, whilst others were just happy to show off their beautiful gardens. A very convivial way to get to know your neighbours...
OTHER NEWS
I played at The Bell earlier in the week (one of Bath’s more bohemian watering holes) and was very impressed by one of the other acts. A petite raven haired beauty called Nicky, who had an incredible voice and bucket loads of charisma. She was accompanied by a great young percussionist called Howie, who was banging the hell out of an instrument which goes by the name of a Peruvian Box.
GIG UPDATE
I will be playing at the “Weekend at the Willows Festival” in September which is in Faversham , Kent. They’re expecting a large crowd – around 5000 – which is just a few more than my usual audience! Will let you know exact date, times etc nearer the date.
