Commenting on Bloomberg's announcement to build a new European Headquarters in the City of London, Business Secretary Vince Cable said:

"It is great news that Bloomberg are locating their European HQ in London. This shows that when it comes to financial and media services, London continues to lead the way in attracting the best in the business.

"In 2009/10, nearly 70 financial service companies invested in London or expanded their London operations, showing that companies from throughout the world are coming to our capital to do business once more."
