Electric car revolution revs up for 2011

The Government drove the UK firmly into the fast lane of the electric and ultra-low emission car revolution today as Ministers unveiled nine trailblazing models that will be eligible for generous grants of up to £5,000.
Business and Enterprise Minister Mark Prisk has set out three key measures by the Government to promote support for micro-lending to small business.
Michael Alfant has been elected by the members of the American Chamber of Commerce in Japan (ACCJ) to serve as the Chamber's 52nd President. Alfant begins his tenure on January 1, 2011.
Three more local enterprise partnerships have been approved by Business Secretary, Vince Cable and Local Government Secretary, Eric Pickles
Commenting on Bloomberg's announcement to build a new European Headquarters in the City of London, Business Secretary Vince Cable said:
