Over 3,500 people entered Barclays Business: Take One Small Step Competition for a chance to win £50,000 to give their business idea a boost. Thirty ideas made it onto the final shortlist: the votes have now been cast and the winner for the London North Region is: Near Global

Near Global has built a ground-breaking software application that lets users explore and interact with accurate models of realworld cities online. Their advanced video game technologies provide intuitive access to existing internet services, shopping, tourism, travel and entertainment, as well as new 3D experiences and games. Their long-term plan is to create a global network that puts the world’s great cities at your fingertips.

When asked "What does it mean to win £50,000?" Darren Fabian, Operations Director of Near Global replied: “Near Global is delighted to have won the Barclays Take One Small Step Competition and will be using the funds to further develop the London city model. We look forward to welcoming you.”
