The Masterclass will explore why 80% of projects fail to deliver.

Our experience has shown that the way projects and programmes are governed is a key factor in their success or failure.  We have brought together three speakers who will provide insight into the good, and bad, sides of governance from their years of practical experience, and provide a fascinating look into a case study that has revolutionised motor insurance:

Mark Grant, Director, insurethebox

Insurethebox has recently entered the competitive world of motor insurance with a unique offering.  Mark will be speaking about the trials and tribulations of this major project and the lessons learned along the way.

Mark Swan, Director, Ross Garland Associates

A Director of Ross Garland Associates, recent publishers of “Project Governance” (an exploration of best practice), Mark has held positions representing all of the essential roles in Programme Governance – from Programme Owner to Senior Supplier, Senior User and most of all as Change Programme Manager in both the private and public sectors. In all of those roles, he has been acutely aware of the need to construct an appropriate framework to ensure successful engagement of stakeholders.  His talk will illustrate the main principles of good programme governance.

Ian Faulkner, Managing Director, Metaskil

Ian will focus on the political problems involved in governance – and how to balance the conflicting pressures of engagement against the need for decision-making, progress and clarity.  He will explore ways in which you can engage key stakeholders within a project without having to have them engaged in governance, and how they can be kept positive.  He will also look at ways of identifying who those key stakeholders actually are!

After the speakers there will be a question and answer session with the panel, followed by interactive round table discussions, the outcomes of which will be circulated post event.

So if you want to improve your project delivery through better governance, and take the opportunity to network with likeminded peers, why not join us?
