Mike joined us in October, having spent the past seven years working primarily in policy and strategy development in the higher education sector. During that time Mike has become well known as a vocal champion for young leaders and entrepreneurs, supporting innovation and dynamic leadership.

Initially completing a Bachelor of Laws degree, Mike went on to study an MSc in Corporate Risk Management at the University of Southampton and is a Specialist Member of the Institute of Risk Managers (IRM). Having worked on a number of high profile reports within the education sector, Mike’s initial experiences in journalism came as a contributor to a range of media outlets including BBC News 24, BBC Radio 5 Live and Europe 1 Radio.

Welcoming Mike to the team, Entrepreneur Country founder and CEO of Ariadne Capital, Julie Meyer spelt out the importance of synergy between business and media, “we are continually reminded of the responsibility of the media in this country to shine a spotlight on the fast-growing SME’s who have the capacity to become large global players. Small becomes big, and start-ups change the world“.
